There’s no Depth in Deep Submissions: A Nuisance for Search Engines

Deep Submission is the procedure of submitting URLs of deep web pages to search engines. In simpler terms, deep submission is the process of submitting each page of a website to a search engine. Deep submission tactics are generally not followed by a search engine optimization expert.
Let’s see why?
The above definition can be explained with the help of an example. Suppose a search engine optimization expert with a 100 page web site submits all pages one by one to the search engines instead of submitting only the single index page. This process is called deep submission.
Generally, a web master submits only the index page to a major search engine. The page acts as an indexer for other pages as they all are linked to the home page or index page. The index page is analyzed by search engine crawlers who inspect those pages linked with the home page. But, there are some occasions when search engine crawlers do not inspect each page (probably due to lack of keyword focus or dead pages). This makes some pages fail to reach a wider audience. For a website owner, each page is very valuable as it contains vital information and if some pages are not indexed, he may suffer huge losses.

Deep submissions are not a search engine’s favorite because it blocks up submission databases unnecessarily. Search engines do not like repetitive submissions of each page, especially when the search engine crawler can easily explore the pages linked to the index page or home page.
Deep submitting is also referred to as an act of spamming as most search engines do not encourage this technique in their guidelines. A search engine optimization (SEO) services follows the search engine guidelines when submitting links. An ideal SEO expert India links keywords and content-rich pages to the index page and then submits the homepage to search engines.
